Is Oatmeal Good for You?
In addition to iron, magnesium, zinc, selenium, and minerals like B vitamins, oats are loaded with vitamins and minerals. A relatively low-calorie food with that many vitamins and minerals is impressive. All these factors make oatmeal a nutrient-dense food.
Antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties are found in the polyphenol antioxidants in oats. The polyphenols in polyphenols have been shown to reduce oxidative stress at the cellular level, which reduces ageing and disease. An imbalance between the body's ability to counter free radical damage and the production of cell-damaging free radicals is called oxidative stress.
